I'm John Barcelos. Senior professional in Operations Management and Hospitality with over 8 years of experience managing properties in Brazil, Portugal and Spain. I didn't come from theory — I came from the operations floor.
My journey started in Brazil, but life took me beyond borders. Through four immigrations, I worked in completely different markets, learned three languages and developed a unique view of hospitality across cultural contexts.
Why I created Aurea.
After years managing real operations, I noticed a pattern: boutique hotel and inn owners have an excellent product but frequently lack the strategy to monetize it intelligently.
Most consultants arrive with templates. Generic reports. Solutions disconnected from operational reality. I wanted to do something different.
